With this strategic focus as the backdrop, Tyco Fire & Security employees around the world are involved in community based activities and initiatives that not only reflect our values of integrity, excellence, teamwork and accountability, but enhances the well being of communities worldwide.

  • Creation of the AWARE® (Abused Women's Active Response Emergency) program brings law enforcement and the community together to provide protection and peace of mind to victims of domestic violence.
  • Partnering with the National Center for Exploited Children to establish The Code Adam Child Safety Program® to provide businesses with a procedure for quickly locating missing children within their establishments.
  • Providing child-friendly Family Safe Nets kits through the American Red Cross to help families prepare their homes for possible natural disasters.
  • Every year, Tyco honors employees who make extraordinary contributions to their communities through the Vital Volunteer Award Program. In addition to the award and recognition through the organization, Tyco also makes a donation to a non-profit organization of the employee’s choice.
  • Joining forces with Habitat for Humanity, a non-profit housing ministry, to construct homes for deserving families in need throughout the world.
  • Promoting social responsibility to underprivileged children in efforts such as the Tyco Fire & Security Chile partnership with The Bethlehem House (El Hogar Belén) for underprivileged children where Tyco employees foster and mentor pre-school aged children and participate in various social outings and recreational activities.
